Physical Therapy Services
Women’s Health
Oklahoma Physical Therapy has a doctor of physical therapy who specializes in women’s health pain and discomfort. Pelvic floor rehabilitation is a specialized area of physical therapy that focuses on musculoskeletal disorders that can lead to incontinence, prolapse, and pelvic pain. Although some of these symptoms are very common among women, they are not considered normal. Pelvic floor therapists have received special training in evaluating and treatment various pelvic floor conditions that can occur before, during, and after pregnancy as well as over time with symptoms such as pain and leakage/incontinence.
Spine Therapy
Spine physical therapy is a treatment for injury or pain related to the neck, upper back, low back and pelvis. Our therapists conduct many different services/treatments to ensure our patients get back to their normal daily activities. We do not perform cookie cutter programs. Each patient gets a specific program for them, specialized based on more than just their diagnosis. We have fellowship trained manual physical therapists, at both North and South locations. This means they have advanced training in the treatment of the spine. Each location is trained to treat Sacroiliac joint (SI) and other pelvic disorders.
Foot and Ankle
Foot and Ankle Physical Therapy focuses on using the most current and effective techniques to restore movement, strength, balance, and function to your foot and ankle. Foot and ankle movement is important to many other functions throughout the body because they act as the foundation of the body in standing, walking, and running.
Vestibular and Balance
An injury or disease to the vestibular system can cause many issues to the patient, to include balance deficits, falls, dizziness, lightheadedness, feeling of off-balance, fainting, and vertigo (spinning complaint). Vestibular Rehab Therapy (VRT) has been shown to be effective in alleviating or reducing these symptoms. We have therapists at each location, certified in the assessment and management of the vestibular system.
Dry Needling
Dry Needling is a technique that involves pushing a sterile, thin, monofilament needle through the skin into muscle and connective tissue in order to address several problems such as trigger points, inflammation, and pain. Dry Needling has been shown to benefit a large variety of conditions, ranging from recent injuries to long-term conditions.
